Welcome!
January 2011
It’s been a crazy year. But here we are.
It’s also been an awesome year! Lots to talk about.
Recorded on Royal Wood’s latest album “The Waiting.” Itunes and the CBC as well as many folks are making it a hit.
Jill Barber’s new record hits the stores at the beginning of April. I’ll keep you informed. It will also blow your mind.
Also got to record on a song with Glen Hansard of Frames/Swell Season/Once fame. Pretty excited about that and the whole record. I’m of course talking about Peter Katz’s “First of the Last to Know.”
I got to be part of lots of great albums! The Undesirables “Travelling Show” , Corin Raymond’s “There Will Always Be A Small Time.” Dean Drouillard’s “Bear Lake” , Ron Leary’s “Dependent Arising” , Tucker Finn’s “The Cup and the Lip”, Rosemary Phelan’s “It Sings in the Blood, Ron Paul Morin’s “Voices from the Alley”, Robin Peacocke’s “Free to Fly”, and Ian Sherwood’s “And Now the Fun Begins.” Not to mention “The Goodtimes.” Songwriters from coast to coast!
I also made cameos on the new Creaking Tree String Quartet, Chris Coole, and Joanne Mackell offerings too.
Also recorded some music for the Gemini-award-winning CBC show Mamma Yamma and appeared on the show with the likes of Jill Barber, The Good Lovelies, and Royal Wood.
And of course toured with Jill and Royal, and played with everyone from White Cowbell Oklahoma to the Liquidaires. Busy year.
Oh man, how could i forget? I got to go to Jake Hanna’s house in Beverley Hills and spend an evening with him telling stories and demonstrating brushes. One of the highlights of my life and a night for which i will forever be grateful. He will be missed.
Anyway, hope you like the new site. Don’t be a stranger. I’ll try not to be either!
What’s up?
